Description St. Charles, Lincoln, and Warren County Continuum of Care work with area churches to provide the Emergency Weather Response program (EWR) from mid-November through mid-March. The program is activated to provide safe sleep overnight when the weather is at or below 20 degrees, to local area churches.

Please note the current phone number is (636) 344-0177

Find out if the program is activated by calling the above number after 3:00PM on the night they need a safe sleep location. The recording will provide the location and time the location is open for safe sleep. If a person needs transportation assistance to the safe sleep shelter, volunteer transportation dispatchers will return calls later in the day and arrange transportation to the open shelter. If transportation is available.
