RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) is a program that provides Americans 55 and over the opportunity to apply their life experience to meeting community needs. RSVP volunteers serve in a diverse range of nonprofit organizations, public agencies and faith-based organizations. Volunteers ages 55 and over are invited to receive special benefits by enrolling in the RSVP Program. RSVP benefits include:
- Personal interview to help match you with a volunteer opportunity at a local nonprofit,
- Quarterly newsletters that highlight local volunteer initiatives and opportunities,
- Annual volunteer appreciation event for all local RSVP volunteers, and
- Excess accident and liability insurance that covers volunteers while driving to and from volunteer assignments and while on the job.
Community Council leads the RSVP program for volunteer opportunities in St. Charles, Lincoln and Warren Counties. To enroll in RSVP, please contact Community Council at 636-978-2277.
