The Metro St. Louis Cinderella Project is an event sponsored by Community Council. Promoting confidence and self esteem in junior and senior high school women, we provide the gift of a prom dress to young women in the metropolitan area who are unable to acquire one on their own.
New and gently worn special occassion dresses are donated to the Metro St. Louis Cinderella Project early each year. As prom season approaches, the dresses are sorted and arranged for display in the Cinderella Boutique. The boutique opens in early spring at Mid Rivers Mall in St. Peters, Missouri. Through a collaborative effort, high school junior and senior girls are referred to the Cinderella Project by local agencies and organizations that serve teens. After these young ladies receive the dress of their choice, the boutique is open to the public. Dresses are sold at bargain prices and the proceeds of the project support the programs of Community Council.
